Remarkably, even at its current age, this illustrious vintage continues to defy time, retaining its character and showcasing fantastic secondary bottle character. Vineyard: Redwind - McLaren Vale

Age: 22 years

Body: Full

Colour: Tawny with a red hue

Nose: Aromas of plum, violets and maturity 

Palate: Chocolate, licorice, vanilla, spice and blackcurrants

Notes: One of the hottest seasons on record and thus the vines were under a bit of heat stress. We see darker fruit characteristics and the influence of American Oak has given the wine some wonderful secondary characters. The wine has aged gracefully and still has a lot of character, sometimes jumping out of the glass at you. Give it 30 mins after opening to enjoy it to its full.
